Itkila: Canvas wall coverings

“The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls”. – Pablo Picasso
Itkila is a tiny company dedicated to promoting art in unique ways. The word 'itkila' means a powerful fragrance and has its origins in Kannada and Tamil.

Countless cups of chai and brainstorming sessions led us to some unique concepts. Our basic objective is to provide a refreshing perspective to the way we perceive 'art'.

through the looking glass
Most of us look at walls and ceilings as structures that protect us from the forces of nature and provide us with a sense of security. But imagine an entire wall covered with a painting. Or say a stunning image of the sky, through a web of leaves on your ceiling.

Sounds interesting?

Project Ida by ITKILA offers you custom made artwork that can transform your living space into a true expression of your personality.  The purpose is to let your wall or ceiling act as a “canvas” on which we create a unique piece of art. Unlike ordinary wall or ceiling papers we use canvas sheets. These are easy to install and maintain.  Besides, our canvas sheets can cover a larger surface area, of up to 10 feet width without a single joint!

The possibilities are endless and we want you to choose and personalize your space, that’s our mantra!

The Art Library by Itkila

"Winter is an etching, spring a watercolor, summer an oil painting and autumn a mosaic of them all. " ~Stanley Horowitz

"The Art Library’, is a concept  influenced by the cyclic pattern of seasons.

Every season comes with its own colour palette and beauty.

The Art Library incorporates this philosophy of ‘change’, by letting you

choose a new piece of art to adorn your space every month!"

Prasad

Prasad comes from a small coastal hamlet in Maharashtra. Although Prasad has no formal training in art he was mentored by artist Uday Palnitkar for a year and a half. His work reflects a great eye for detail and his brush strokes show depth and  maturity.
